Better Skills, Better Jobs Career Fair 2026 - Students

High school students are invited to the “Better Skills, Better Jobs” Career Fair on Thursday, October 1 at the Greenville Convention Center between 9:15 a.m. and Noon. All participating Pitt County high school students must have a permission slip delivered to their school's Career Development Coordinator for this event in order to participate.

Last year, hundreds of career seekers attended this regional career fair and had the opportunity to meet with well over 100 employers and education resource vendors. Several employers held on-site interviews with some attendees leaving with a job offer on the same day. We are excited to welcome you to this program and we are looking forward to connecting you with businesses and industries interested in meeting you!

9:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - High School Career Awareness Session (Sessions may have up to 80 students per school visiting)

• 9:15 - 10:15 - JH Rose and Ayden Grifton
• 10:00 - 11:00 - North Pitt and DH Conley
• 10:45 - 11:45 - Farmville Central and South Central
• 11:15 - 12:00 - PCC Early College, Innovation Early College, Pitt Academy, Private and Homeschool Populations

High school students must register in advance and provide a permission slip to their high school.

The event is sponsored by The John M. Belk Endowment, Pitt Community College, Invest Greenville, East Carolina University, Pitt County Economic Development, Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, City of Greenville, WNCT-TV, and IBX Media. Community partners include Pitt County Schools, Greenville Utilities, Tradesformers, NC Coastal Society for Human Resource Management, NCWorks, and ECU Health.
